     Educational Philosophy

I believe that kindergarten is a unique and valuable stage in a child's life. My main responsibility is to create an environment that fosters children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. I am committed to supporting your children's education; respecting each child as an individual with unique qualities, abilities, and talents; and helping children to cooperatively learn to live, play, and work in a safe and nurturing environment.

A Little More About Mrs. Price
This September marks my 20th year as the Kindergarten teacher at Avon Elementary School.   I am looking forward to another exciting and enriching year.  I have a BS in Elementary Education/Sociology and an  MEd in Educational Leadership from The College Of NJ and my Principal/Supervisor Certificate. I currently live in Berkeley Twp. with my husband, Tom.  I love spending time with my family, especially my nephew Zack and my Dad, who recently moved back to NJ from Florida after retirement.   In my free time I love being active, and have completed half marathons, full marathons and  several Tough Mudders.   When I am not busy with one of these hobbies, I enjoy traveling with my husband and relaxing on the beach in the Summer with a good book.  I am a NY Giants and Mets fan.  You can find me and Mr. Price at many home games during each season.
