Health and Physical Education
Promoting physical, social, and emotional wellness, the Avon School K-8 Health and Physical Education curriculum is rooted in the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. Students develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviors needed to maintain individual wellness while making a commitment to lifelong health. Recognizing the role of health literacy in the 21st-century learner, wellness, as it relates to self, school, family, and the community, is emphasized in Health and Physical Education instruction.
